Welcome to the Wesner lab research page! Our lab has broad interests in basic and applied ecology. We are particularly interested in linkages between food webs across traditional ecological boundaries, like water and land. To that end, we study how changes to lake and river food webs, such as fish species loss, pollution, habitat modification, and bacterial invasions cascade across the water-land interface using studies that range in scale from large rivers to small beakers. We’re housed in the Department of Biology at the University of South Dakota.

Visit our research page and publications to see what we’ve been up to.
